Ed has been a resident of Erie all of his life.  A graduate of Thiel College, he began his employee benefits career in 1974, and became Principal and Vice President of Loesel-Schaaf in January 1989. 
 
Ed received his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 1979, his Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in 1991 and his Certified Long Term Care Consultant (CLTC) designation in 2010. 
 
Ed has served on many boards and is an active member of the community.
